Executive Director of THSU, Sarah Davies, said: “The Reel Change project is giving young people the chance to speak out and make a positive contribution to life in London, while gaining fantastic experience in areas such as film making and journalism as part of the process. We welcome young people from across London to get involved.”

  • Personal Development Goals : Topic Of The Month Important

Personal Development Goals : Topic Of The Month Important

It is very important to have your own personal development goals because this enables you to think of the future in a positive and constructive way. If you are feeling depressed, the future can be the last topic that you would want to think about but it is proven to make any sufferer feel a lot better.

Making goals help you realize what is really important to you and how you wish to spend your time.

When a person feels depressed, they are aware that they are wasting a lot of time by not doing anything but are unsure of how to bring themselves out of the mood. Writing down ideas and writing plans helps to mentally prepare and motivates a sufferer to start building a new a life.

Feeling depressed can prevent you from living your life the way that you would like to. The lack of motivation and loss of interest are things that can stop you from taking control of your life.

Symptoms of depression which can put a stop to your life:

    * Rejection *Anger * Frustration * Loneliness * Fear of failure *Humiliation * Guilt.

If you have experienced rejection or have failed on certain things in the past, does not mean that you will continue to fail in the future. The experiences may have left you feeling humiliated and frustrated and you will automatically doubt your own abilities and possibly give up altogether. It is a good idea to make a list of goals that you wish to achieve and set deadlines. Your plans could be anything from planning to spend more time with friends, saving money, joining an evening class or losing weight. The important thing is that when you achieve these goals, you will start to feel better immediately. When you are deciding on what goals you are going to achieve, you must be realistic, for example, you cant aim to lose three stone in one month, you will only feel disappointed and frustrated. It is a good idea to keep your goals to a minimum for a certain amount of time so that you can concentrate on them, this is more effective than having twenty goals which you will struggle to achieve all at the same time. When you achieve your personal goals, your confidence will have a great boost and you can feel energized as you begin to take control of your own life again.

It is also a very good idea to try and imagine where you would like to be this time next year. You may not be a millionaire by this time next year but achieving your own personal goals during that time can make you feel just as happy.

You can really go into detail and imagine who you are with? What you look like? Have you been promoted in your job? Are you still a smoker? Do you still swear? Have you finally organized and thrown out all of your clutter in your home? Everybody is aware of their own habits and personal opinions that can make you feel down about themselves, therefore picturing yourself in a different way can really make you decide on what you would like to change in your own life that you secretly know would be for the best.

Having personal development goals help you become the person who you want to be.

  • What You Need to Know About Modeling Schools

What You Need to Know About Modeling Schools

Hello and thank you for visiting my modeling schools page. My name is Jordan Sales. I am the model in the second picture above and in the following pictures. First I will tell you my story of becoming a model and how you can become one as well. Then, my opinion on modeling schools, if you are interested.

Jordan Sales – How to become a model – Modeling Jobs Jordan Sales – How to become a model – Male Modeling schools Jordan Sales – How to become a model – Modeling agency Jordan Sales – Male modeling – Female Modeling – Modeling Jobs Jordan Sales – male model – MPE Modeling agency

I have been a professional model for several years now. I am also a professional photographer and have also managed a top modeling agency.

I started out just like you. I knew I could make it, but did not know how. Finally I got accepted to a huge model search. There were thousands of other “hopeful” models there.

I went there and got REJECTED by every single agency! Yes… I got rejected!

But I refused to give up. I knew that there must be something I didn’t know.

And I was right! There is so much stuff that I didn’t realize. I was worrying about all the wrong things! You need to understand how this business works!

I asked top models, agents and scouts what it takes to be a model. To my surprise I found out that there was a whole lot more to it than my looks. In fact I was better looking than most of the people that got picked. At least I thought so.

I also didn’t understand that certain modeling agencies could use my look and certain ones couldn’t.

So for that entire next year I put all my energy into learning these “secrets”. I had to get my mind right. I also learned that everyone has a look… its the energy and confidence behind the face that makes a star!

So I increased my confidence to 100 times what it was, eliminated fear out of my life and truly began to believe in myself. I also studied the world of modeling to better understand how the business worked.

Finally I was ready! So I signed up for the exact same model search I had went to the previous year. I looked exactly the same as the last year… but this time my thinking had changed. My self confidence was way stronger!

Now guess what happened??? EVERY AGENCY WANTED ME! For the next 2 weeks my phone rang off the hook with agencies calling me, wanting me to sign with them! It was awesome!

And it all happened because I finally understood what modeling agents and scouts are REALLY looking for!

What you are about to learn is everything you will ever need to know to become a professional model.

My How to become a model course can teach anyone how to become a model no matter your sex, age, race, height, weight or look…. Anyone can use this course to turn their dreams into a reality, just like I did.

Within it are the answers to every question you may have in regards to becoming a model.

My course has been created with the help of top models, photographers and agents whom I have had the pleasure of working with.

  • Spoleto Festival in Charleston, USA – What You Should Know

Spoleto Festival in Charleston, USA – What You Should Know

Great galleries and great performances are never scarce in Charleston, S.C. But each year around this time, Spoleto Festival USA focuses the already artistic eye of this Southern port city even more on all things artsy.

Big things happen at Spoleto Festival USA: symphonies debut, a Chuck Close portrait can grace an official poster, and dances receive their American debut. It’s significant, beautiful, even; but depending on the venue and performance, it can get pretty pricey pretty quickly.

Enter the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. Focusing primarily on artists of the Southeast region, Piccolo Spoleto is the perfect complement to the international scope of its parent festival.

Traditional program offerings include visual arts exhibits, classical music, jazz, dance, theatre, poetry readings, children’s activities, choral music, ethnic cultural presentations, crafts and film.

Ticket prices are very reasonable, and many events are free.

The easiest entrance door to Piccolo Spoleto Festival 2011 is the daily Outdoor Art Exhibition, located in the heart of the city at Marion Square.

It’s free and a great way to familiarize yourself with the Charleston visual arts scene — more than 100 artists set up shop — and if you go on Saturday, there’s a bonus – the weekly Farmer’s Market.

Oil painter Hilarie Lambert, who’s been exhibiting at the Piccolo Spoleto Art Exhibition for eight years, says that she starts working in January to build a Piccolo Spoleto exhibition, paying attention to themes and striving to create a cohesive show just as she would for any gallery.

“This is a collector’s forum, and many collectors plan their trip to Charleston around this event,” she explains. “I want to surprise my clients with new work, and I want them to be special pieces.” She works both in the studio and “en plein air” preparing for the show.

Once you’ve completed your afternoon art stroll, go a step further into its varied offerings.

First, if you still have art on the brain, visit the City Gallery at Waterfront Park for a look at Contemporary Charleston 2011: Under the Radar. Sponsored by Charleston Magazine, this free exhibit of eight emerging artists has been getting a lot of local buzz.

Next, settle in for a little jazz. It’s the official soundtrack of the city, and with groups such as the Charleston Jazz Initiative working to document and educate its living history, the musical genre is experiencing a hometown renaissance.

Local soulful Ann Caldwell will be performing multiple times as part of the John Street Jazz series, and she is a wonderful ambassador for the Charleston sound, often singing standards such as “I Got Rhythm.” For this performance focusing more on the spirituals of the African-American community.

For the comically adventurous, there is the ever-expanding Piccolo Fringe Festival, with comedy, improv, one-man shows, and all kinds of acerbic fun. One that sounds promising: The Complete History of Charleston for Morons. Most events in this festival take place at Theatre 99 on Meeting Street, and all tickets for Fringe shows are only $16.
